Pinnacles 4/23/89 Since the weather was cloudy and we'd been spending too many weekends away from our significant others, Joel and I went for a 1-day trip to the Pinnacles. Lani came along for some good hiking action. We arrived there at 1:15pm, but still managed to get a few climbs in. Joel led P.O.D. (Post Orgasmic Depression) 5.11a -- a real classic jug-haul up a vertical wall with 6 bolts. He was feeling pumped at the crux, but he managed to rest somehow! Good sport climbing. Then I tried to lead Hung Jury 5.11a at Discovery Wall. Didn't feel like going for the long reach move off small sideclings with the bolt at my feet, so I traversed over to The Verdict 5.11a and cranked its overhanging jugs. Then John Lockhart (my old wall partner) showed up and he cranked both routes on our TR. We're hoping to go to the Valley and finish our new route Perfect Vision (by Braille Book) next weekend. Looks like 2 pitches are left, and they don't look easy -- first is thin crack/arete, second is overhang and long cracks. Clint
